December 23, 20205 yr So, taking full advantage of the infinite fuel capacity and the fact that none of this is constrained by reality (my kind of place), I continued on from HTNI across the Morogoro and Pwani regions of Tanzania (thank you, Google Earth) to Dar es Salaam (I misspelt it in the previous post). Everything here is default MSFS, and given how badly Africa has been ignored in previous sims I find this all pretty impressive. I dare say the built up stuff may not be accurate but it's good enough for me. Approaching Dar es Salaam and HTDA Unfortunately, when I came in to land it seems that the brakes seem to have become un-mapped from my pedals, so it wan't a particularly graceful arrival Anyway, got her back upright and off I went. Over the city centre here - Heading out to the coastline Went down for a nose around with the drone, very impressed with the quality of some of these buildings - remember, this is default stuff. Looking back at the city There are a couple of little offshore islets like this Heading off now towards Zanzibar Which is a little dull, to my surprise. Don't really know much about the place, but for some reason I realise I had it in my head as mountainous. Not so. I was interested in visiting because I remember the book "Stand on Zanzibar" from way back when (wiki - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stand_on_Zanzibar ) Anyway, I'm here now, and there's HTZA up ahead And this time, the brakes work This. Is. So. Much. Fun. December 26, 20205 yr Really nice, Andy. As you said, Africa was a no go country in all the other sims we had before (Asia too, btw), because it was so poorly represented. All this has changed with MSFS. We are very lucky indeed. A good friend of mine lives near Capetown. When I showed him pics of his area in default MSFS, he couldn't believe it. 😉 Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
