So I have reformatted the computer and reinstalled everything - the issue came back when registering GSX in the addon manager - once I click register it crashes to desk top then removes the .exe file. I have looked on the FSDT forums but I cannot find anything???

It's not possible this can have anything to do with GSX and, as you could see, nobody else ever reported this on our forum.

The  only possible explanation might be related to the antivirus: it has mistakenly detected some of our software as threats ( they obviously aren't ), but since they are started by the sim, it decided to remove the simulator main .EXE instead and, because it's not possible to remove an .EXE that is running, it caused the crash too.

Try this:

- Add the whole Addon Manager folder to the antivirus Exclusions

- Add the whole Prepar3d folder to the antivirus Exclusions too

Thanks Marcus

Manged to register GSX after a running a repair on P3D but its just CTD and removed the .exe file after running a replay. doesn't look like there's any specific reason why it does it.

I have Bull guard  anti virus but I switch it off, P3D is in C:/ PROGRAM FILES

Program Files is a very sensitive area in Windows.

Try putting the P3D installation somewhere else: even C:\Prepar3D would be better than program files.

Thanks Ian, I’ve just moved the Lockheed Martin folder now. I will give it a go.
