Video Capture

Featured Replies

I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question and I apologise if it isnt.

I have been using FRAPS to capture video.  However, this does not allow me to capture in video, overlays such as charts from Navigraph etc.  I have seen this done and I wondered what video capture software is capable of this?

Thanks

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

OBS Studio.  It is open source and used by Twitch streamers.  I have used it for a couple of recordings of FSX with overlays myself.  For overlays I think you need an additional monitor.  I use three...

I use v24.0.1 (64 bit) on Windows 7 64.
I have just read that releases up to, and possibly greater than, v25.0.4 will work on Win7.
The "Previous Releases" button on  the download page will bring you here --> https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases
A few clicks on "next" page (bottom) will bring you to the older Win 7 compatible releases.

It's a great program!!
