C208 mod post MSFS update

Featured Replies

Since the latest MSFS update, my MFD and PFD screens are black in the C208.  I'm using both the working title-G1000 and C208 mods (both latest versions, both working fine prior to update).  Anyone else having trouble?

Yes, I am finally gave up and removed both mods...

I wasn’t using the c208 mod (didn’t know one existed) but I was using the WT G1000 mod and had the same issue in the c208.  The G1000 mod works fine in other aircraft though.

No issues here. I’m using the same mods and did a flight this morning without any trouble. Other than overshooting my landing that is;-( I do limit my mods to the c208 and wt g1000 only when I fly the 208. I have had issues before when I had multiple avionics mods loaded simultaneously.

I did the same but still had the issue, I didn’t want it to cut into my flying time and just removed them... quite honestly I hardly miss them anyway.

I removed the C208 mod and just used the G1000 mod.  The displays worked fine, but I got a CTD about 5 minutes into the flight.  I don't know if that is related, but I rarely get CTDs.

Come to think of it I had the issue before I adopted my current practice of only having the mods I intend to use on a given flight in my community folder...I'll try again.

Update.... I removed the A320 mod and the NAVGRAPH data mod and now the C208 works with both C208 mod and G1000 mod.  Those 2 mods are the only ones in my mod folder currently.

That’s good to hear. I do have the latest navigraph airac cycle installed and have not had issues with it in combination with the C208 and the g1000 mod, but there could potentially be an issue related to navigraph that caused the ctd’s. Have you checked if you have the iatest beta version and airac revision?

Billkirk888,

Mate, my advice is to remove (after backup) your mods ... all of them. then do the same with liveries for the C208.

Re run your C2208 and see if that fixes the problem.  If it does, then reinstall your liveries one at a time. if they are all OK, then reinstall your mods (one at a time) Once you have identified your problem child, be it a livery or a mod, delete the problem and re-download and re-install the problematic folder.

I acknowledge that this is a long, drawn out process, but you have to identify where the problem lies and then deal with it.  Time spent will be worth it. I speak from experience because I had a thread in here with very similar problems with the Robert Young Bonanza turbo v3.

Good luck and please give us some feed back on your resolution path.
