Japan Update

Featured Replies

I did not download this update because a) I was low on disk space and b) I rarely if ever have flown in Japan.  As I now have a new 1TB m.2 drive, I was wondering whether to install it.  Did the update affect anything other than Japan and secondly, even if I do have space for it, is it really worth installing it, other than to have a fully updated sim?  Has anyone got any thoughts or views?

It really worths if you want to fly over Japan. It has an improved mesh for the whole country, some landmarks, new photogrammetric cities (in Japan, of course), 4 or 5 custom made airports and they’ve also updated the imagery for some areas (but that, I think, will change even if you don’t install the Japan DLC).

Also, if you like missions and guided flights, the DLC will add some tours and landing challenges.

I don't think it affects anything except Japan, so no reason to install it if you don't plan to fly there. But it is impressive looking. I never flew there before, but now do regularly, and it really is beautiful.
