R.I.P. Henri Louis Hank Aaron February 5, 1934 – January 22, 2021

755 home runs and so many other MLB records and accomplishements.

Wow, he was a great.

Whenever I watch old movies on TCM the thought crosses my mind that most of the performers I see are dead now.  Joe Namath is making TV commercials now about supplemental Medicare plans.  He looks like a shadow of his former self.  It won't be long before he becomes an RIP.

Hank Aaron was less than two months younger than myself.  42 days to be exact.  That's a sobering thought.

So many celebrities of my generation are passing away.  It's hard to keep up with them all.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

I had to buy a new stove and two young guys delivered and installed it.  I told them Hank Aaron died.  They said, "Who's Hank Aaron?"  I guess they weren't baseball fans.

In the early 90's a colleague and I were talking about Kansas, and Dust In The Wind. A kid said, "you mean that state in the midwest ?"
