January 28, 20215 yr Had a couple of days trying out the various tools for creating scenery from Google Earth. Following various youtube videos religously and simply finding that things that happen in the videos don't necessarily work the same way on my system. After much cursing I needed a bit of peace and quiet - so what better way than to roll out the Waco for a tour of Vegas in the early(ish) morning light. Heading out from North LV Airport, down the strip and then off to nowhere in particular - magic! Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I'm interested in the big birds in lots of ways - I've got shelves and shelves of books here about them, but in the sim I only really like them at the airports with all the ground handling and stuff. The idea of actually doing real time long haul flights just doesn't do anything for me. Pootling around down low and gawping out the window (or over the side of the cockpit) is what I enjoy. Mind you, I do like a nice big freight bird. If I had to cut the hangar down to one plane it would probably be either the Waco or the Savage Cub, but if I could have two it would be one of those and the An-225! But when they eventually get helicopters into the sim all that might change. Lots of them on the favoured list, and I'm really looking forward to getting an MV-22 Osprey in MSFS. January 29, 20215 yr Magic indeed, Andy. Great screenies. When looking at the one that shows the Mirage, I remembered that I still have an old freeware Vegas scenery for FSX (or was it even FS9, can't remember). that featured Sigfried and Roy at the Mirage. Those were the days. Now both of them are at greener pastures, playing with their white tigers and lions forever 🙂. Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
