Hey all, 

So I've spent the past few weeks trying to redevelop New Zealand Vegetation in the sim using all available techniques and I finally have made something I think looks really good given all the current limitations of msfs2020.

Donations not mandatory but welcome as it will help with further time on this project and other countries.

Thank you for this ! I downloaded your trees pack, ckecked its content and ask myself (actually you 😁) if it would collide with other trees mods (like the early free versions of fall and winter trees from Bijan)? Did you test? I understand that you only changed the NZ biomes, but assuming your asobo_biomes includes all the deflault entries, would it need to be mixed with the content of the seasonal asobo_biomes?

He bought the season pack from me and made some changes to his own liking. You are right, it would collide with mine. Cannot use both at the same time.

I'll bring this to the attention of the management at AvSim so they can decide how best to handle things.

It would be helpful if @kelvinr could respond to the claim by @BijanStudio that he has altered the product he purchased. Making changes for personal use is probably okay but not when it's then offered to others.

Thank you. I posted proof.

AvSim management have decided this dispute is between @kelvinr, @BijanStudioand Asobo as modification of files supplied in the simulator seems to be allowed.

Whether using someone else’s files obtained from the sim, modifying them slightly and re-uploading is plagiarising is a difficult decision. I hope you can understand that and resolve your differences.

@kelvinr, you are free to edit your post and reinstate the link I removed. Contact me if necessary.

Yes I purchased your pack but my file is based on my own work. As I also mentioned in my email to you, the Biomes file is based on work from rhumbaflappy over on FS developer forum and I asked him for permission to use his Biomes file as a base as he uses the ecoregions2017 data. So please don't confuse this with your work. I've spent weeks getting the height data and colours right based on my country, weeks! I have a moral compass my friend.

The base file was from rhumbaflappy over on FS developer forums. I asked his permission to use the file and he approved. The work I've done is mine and mine only so unless rhumba used bijans file I don't see how I've broken any rules here. The difference between me and bijan is that he is mandating cost for his work that is based on Asobo work which I would assume he hasn't paid them any royalties on. Moreover, he doesn't own the rights to the files as he is not the author so he's making a quick buck based on the hard work from Asobo. He hasn't even created is own materials and are default and he still passes it off as his own. How does this make sense? I am not selling my work and all work I've put into the files is my own. Thanks.

But your email tells a different story. You bought mine and made changes to my files and showed it to me and asked me to use it on my season mods.

If you have another version that you worked on your own, of course you're welcome to use it.:

How does this receipt prove anything Bijan. My purchase of this has no reflection on my work. Actually your work is not accurate so this is why I started my own project.

The file I sent you is not the file I created. Have you even looked at my work or are you jumping to conclusions?

Adjusting tree color has nothing to do with accuracy. that's personal opinion.

You never mentioned you were working on anything else.

All you said was you made changes to mine and now I see it online.
