February 1, 20215 yr Hi I bought a new computer last month but have been having a lot of issues with p3d/addons and the sim CTD. I’ve rest the computer and for the first time installed the sim into D: which has over 1TB rather than C: which has 500GB, my intention was to put all add-one into D: as well but when I tried to install FSLA320 it came up with an error saying it couldn’t find the sim. Andy advise or help would be appreciated
February 1, 20215 yr Does P3D run OK without the FSL A320 being installed. ie. does the base, out-of-the box version of P3D work on your system without addons installed? Second, since I dont own the FSLA320, during the installation , was there a a dialog window in which it asks you to confirm the location of P3D sim e.g. on the D : drive? Was this detected correctly? February 1, 20215 yr Author Hi yeah it works on it’s own with out addons installed. No no dialog asking for locations just the error message then closure. It must be looking for it on c as I’ve reinstalled on c and it installs. It kind of defeats the point though I think because it’s just leaving the biggest drive empty and me getting numerous CTD again on C.
February 1, 20215 yr Check your registry for the correct install path. February 2, 20215 yr Author I did moved everting to D like I said and now it seems worse, it CTD whilst just on stand - the only add one I have installed are FSL320 Active sky and UK2000 scenery. On the final CTD it came up with this error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. I’ve since updated the drivers for the graphics card.

February 2, 20215 yr Author I tried but it stuck at 35% for an hour so I aborted - I’ve had more issues with windows update not working, Xbox store not downloading games/apps so I’m doing another full reset but this time with a clean windows install. Im gonna leave it over night and try again tomorrow
February 4, 20215 yr Author Not too sure about the version I will have a look but don’t think it’s FSLABs causing the CTD - I’ve noticed my virtual memory was set at 2500mb, could that be a cause of CTD I have 16GB of ram.
