February 2, 20215 yr Really, the weather system needs so much improvement. I flew into NYC earlier today, with the storm we all know is taking place. Vis was low, snow on the ground, etc. Sounds good. Right now, I'm making another low and slow flight out of JFK. Not a cloud in the sky, snow is gone, etc. Something doesn't add up.
February 2, 20215 yr That sounds like your live weather hasn’t loaded at all. There’s been a suggestion on the forum here to load clear skies first then live weather if you’re having issues, this has worked for me. February 2, 20215 yr Author Perhaps. Once I'm in a flight, I can't change the weather without ending it. I just started another flight, and I made sure it specified live weather. Still the same thing. Edited February 2, 20215 yr by andyjohnston.net

February 2, 20215 yr I switched to using all traffic rather than live traffic only, that way I can change the weather and time of day to suit my needs. Every time I load up in the sim, when in the cockpit, I have clear skies and warm temperatures. I just change it to live weather in the sim with the cockpit menu and it changes and loads the live weather. It may not be 100 percent accurate, but the snow appears on the ground, temps change to what I would expect, at my home airport. So it sure looks like it changes for me in flight, or at lest on the ground. I do not exit to the main menu. Either set the sim to all players/offline so you can change the weather on the fly, or restart between every flight.
