How to disable ATC?

Featured Replies

Hi,

My apologies if this has been asked before (I just cannot find the topic), but is it possible to disable ATC and if so, how to go about doing that?

Thanks,

Kind regards,
Hans van WIjhe

Options -> Assistance -> User Experience : ATC voices

Thanks, Glenn. I hope you can help me further. I switched all options in User Experience to off but yet when I run the checklist in FBW's A320Neo, pushback commences without me asking for it  (No, I didn't touch the pushback options in the EFB). When I click on the ATC menu in the top of the display, I still see ATC commands. I just wish to be completely ATC-less 🙂 Any idea how to accomplish that? Thanks again for your help

Kind regards,
Hans van WIjhe

You need also to disable the auto-AI assist (slider) from the floating top menu when in the aircraft.

Thanks a lot, will do so right away.

Later: No doubt I still overlooked something. All options in User Experience set to off as well as well as all sliders in AI Control in floating top menu set to off and yet when going  through the cockpit preparation checklist a push back commences. Also ATC is yelling at me when I hit the dropdown list in the floating top menu. Any idea(s) what I can do more to disable ATC and its assist features completely?

Thanks,

Piloting >Assistance > Delegate ATC to AI OFF

User Experiance ATC voices OFF

And Delegate comms to AI pilot in game tool bar at the top OFF

Can't you just turn the radio off?

No, as then still an unsolicited pushback is being performed. I asked this question (about disabling ATC) as every time during the first stages of running the FBW A320's  checklist ATC barges in telling me a pushback is about to commence. Pretty irritating 🙂 I rather be without this ATC at all, as it isn't all that good anyway, than getting frustrated every time I am to begin a flight. Or is there a better workaround to circumnavigate my frustration? 🙂

You could try using Pushback Express.

I could, but I guess I still will be bothered by FS202 wanting to push me back without being asked during my preflight checklist chores.  I've got UGCX for P3D by FS2Crew and I am not too enthusiastic by that product, so I, for the time being, will stay away from Pushback Express.
