For my flight, I have chosen the Just Flight DH 106 Comet, developed for FSX

Interesting flight choice and great pictures.

Great shots!

This mountain scenery looks superb. #11 could be a vintage advertisement for B.O.A.C.

I wonder if a Comet could have been landing in Paro?

Trailblazer plane and great history,...thanks for showcasing, Bernd...!

BTW, is not the 3rd recent visit of yours to Paro (Bhutan) airport...🙂....and, that approach/landing to Rwy has always appeared quite challenging to me, from my virtual viewpoint, I meant...🙂...

Beautiful series of pictures, here,...!!

No need to wonder, Harald. It's I think definitely not allowed! But is it possible? I think so, given the right circumstances. Remember that Interflug Il 62 that landed many years ago successfully on a short unpaved airstrip, as it was to be exhibited there in a small museum. Was it in Saxony? I can't remember. The Interflug pilot did an outstanding job. It's the beauty of our simulators that we can try to do things that would never be allowed in real life 🙂

Yes, P_7878, it's my third (successful) landing at Paro, all three with heavies. You have an amazing memory!! The first one was in a Tu 114, the second one in an Il 76 and now the Comet. It's challenging indeed, but we armchair pilots can be on occasion old AND bold 😄

I think it was in Brandenburg. Stölln-Rhinow, nordwest of Berlin.
