Bernt Stoll FDE

Featured Replies

So, I installed Bernt Stoll's FDE on my C421 in FSX-SE.

Now she does not like to bleed off speed. Approaches are very tricky.

That FDE is optimized for Prepar3d isn't it?

Thanks

Use gear and flaps to slow down... ideal approach speed is 100 kts down to the runway.

Is there a way to kill the alarm?

I think it's either the terrain alarm or too fast for flaps 2. I will have to test it.

I recall. Idle throttles. Get a loud alarm when I idle the throttles. Didn't with stock FDE

That may be the case if the landing gear aren't extended.

Well. The RW figures state that gear down and flaps 15 max should be 179 kias. I can apply that on approaches. See what happens.

  • 9 months later...

176 Knots for gear and first notch of flaps.  The gear warning horn will sound if the gear is not down and the throttles are reduced to idle.
