I’ve never ever seen in sim wind match real world. Off by nearly 180 degrees sometimes and usually way off on speed as well. At least in the flight planning window. Then I’ve had that not match in sim either. Also in sim ATC will usually tell you a wind speed that’s twice what the plane says it is. You can't look at the actual METAR and expect to get the exact same conditions in the sim. You may but just the same you may not. You can spin it whatever you like. If Asobo wants the default weather engine be all one needs (no more need for REX, ActiveSky,...) then in the flight planning screen where now you only get the wind info one should be able to see the METAR. I agree. They need to have a proper way to read airfield conditions within the sim. Currently ATIS only gives you temperature, wind, and pressure, but is not providing accurate visibility or cloud coverage. This needs to be fixed, and it’s on their roadmap.
