I also prefer a clean installation of add-ons, everything in one place and perfectly sorted. But, technically, AFAIK it's fine if some add-ons install “externally“, and some in P3D's folder structure, as long as the latter don't overwrite P3D files. It of course used to be some add-ons did that, and some maybe still do, but e.g. ORBX install their texture replacements where you want them to be, and P3D's “new“ method incorporates them without a problem. That makes re-installing P3D a 5 minute ordeal. April 2, 20215 yr Hello, from a new P3D v 5 fromFSX/SE user. What I notice when I installed and registered P3D v 5 is the following. Unlike FSX/SE, I didn't see anywhere where we the user could add purchased sounds, like I purchased from Skysong Soundworks, I also notice unlick FSX/SE, that within P3D v5, there's also no place to add additional aircraft. Within FSX/SE, you can add additional aircraft under Sim Objects, then within that folder, there's a sub folder called airplanes. In there is all of your airplanes. I love as for any and all ga flights, I love the Dassault Falcon 7X, or for short the DF7X. I hope one day that we have access to the successor to the DF7X, the DF8X. Why would one want to upgrade? This is a valid question to ask. The DF8X will fly 500 NM miles further than the older DF7X. The DF8X's fuel is 35 percent more efficient than the DF7X. So, for this rich playboy flight simmer, the DF7X and or hopefully the DF8X is the way to go. But the only problem this Blind and or Visually Impaired or BVI Pilot had installing P3D V5, was that I could figure out why there were two fields and both were labeled password. After a process of elimation, Working with two different screen reader to acutaly see what was on the screen, I finally saw that in the first field what was actually needed was my identification number, and in the second field was needed the password that was shipped to me on my recept, and not my actual password, that I used for my account. It would be nice to be able to access the sub folders within P3D like we can with FSX/SE. That way we can tweak p3d like we could with the FSX/SE flight sim. Just my two cents on this thread. Ron AKA The Blind Pilot Welcome to the P3D club! You can access and install within the P3D folder structure in the same way as FSX. However, one of the benefits of later editions of P3D over FSX, is that you can use something called the .xml method to install whatever add on you like (whether scenery, sounds, autogen, effects, etc.) in any location of your choosing on your PC. There is a freeware add on organiser tool called Lorby-SI P4AO that makes this install/linking process a whole lot easier. I don't know whether this tool is screen reader friendly, so give the developer Oliver a message on his support area of the Avsim forums to find out if it's possible: https://www.avsim.com/forums/forum/795-lorby-si-freeware/ Edited April 2, 20215 yr by F737NG AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440) Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

I'm going to give that a try. I know that there's a huge support for p3d v 5 here, but is there a e-mail list? If so, what is the subscription and for writing letters out to the list. Many thanks once again.
