FLYBYWIRE STANDALONE AIRCRAFT

Featured Replies

Hello Hi! very recently FBW Team have launched their standalone A32NX airplanes in many liveries on the flightsim.to site. They look quite nice in screenshots but I downloaded a couple of them but

could not make them work. After putting the files in the community folder - no aircraft appears in the sim. If anybody knows or have any idea about installing these particular files to make them

work then please kindly share your success with us. Thanks

Have you downloaded the base A320NX from FBW? Dev and Experimental versions are standalone, not the stable version.

You have downloaded the liveries. But you haven’t downloaded the actual plane!

Go here - https://flybywiresim.com

and download the plane. Then you can use the liveries you downloaded

Thank you very much I went the AX32 site but I could not find any aircraft file. when I clicked the download button it took me the next page where there is the

project  mods 3 versions. and I really did not know which one to download, I have the stable ver. installed already. If you please kindly specify me which

particular file or files to download.Thaks  a lot.

Delete your old stable version, download the installer from their site, install either dev or experimental if you want to use the liveries you downloaded.

Google FBW Installer, pick the version described above , download and installation is automatic once you slect the version you want.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

Just a note, remember you have to select the FBW A320NX version in MSFS, Go into my hanger and select the LEAP version of A320 neo not the Asbo standard version,.

Yes, follow the instructions above here. In summary you must do this:

1. Delete all previous versions of the FlybyWire aircraft mod that you might have in the Community folder. Delete the entire folder inside the Community folder.

2. Delete every livery you have downloaded for A320 previously.

3. Any other mod you might have downloaded for the A320 - delete it too.

4. Go here and download the installer program: https://api.flybywiresim.com/installer

5. Install this program. An FBW icon will appear on your desktop. Click this icon to run the installer. Select the version of the aircraft you want. I suggest the Experimental. Don't forget to tell the installer where your Community Folder is placed on your PC. It will then do the installation for you.

6. Now you can install liveries from flightsim.to that specifically state that they are compatible with the new FBW fork. This will only be liveries that have been created or updated since 4 April 2021. Liveries from before then wont work!

You will now see TWO A320's in your aircraft selection menu, one is Asobo default and one is FBW. The FBW one is easy to see as it comes with a FBW livery included. That is the one you want. Ignore the other one, you will never want to fly it ever again.

Now, whenever you are about to fly, first run the FBW installer using the desktop icon. It will quickly check if there is an update and update the aircraft for you. It gets updated everyday, so check it often.

Just to add to the above, you do not have to delete your other liveries as there's a mod on Flightsim.to (Link below) that you can run and it will update the older liveries to work with the new  FBW A320NX
