April 17, 20215 yr I mean literally painful. Not sure what the latest update did but I am getting like 1-2 FPS and it literally hurts your eyes... It's actually painful. Had to shut the sim down yet the sound kept running in the background. Task Manager says nothing running but MSFS is still using 16G memory. Add me to the "this update broke my sim" camp lol. Thank goodness for F1 and MotoGP today instead. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

This was leaving Lee Gilmore airport in Georgia (GVL), passing Road Atlanta and heading towards Hartsfield. No mods installed. Tried 152, 172 and TBM same result in all of them. April 17, 20215 yr Go somewhere completely random with stock airfield in the middle of nowhere but has good Bing coverage and see.
April 17, 20215 yr Turn off multiplayer if on - since WU4 stutter fest for me with MP on where the FPS would tank for mins at a time. Did a flight last night from EGJJ - LFMN in the FBW A320 and no stutters or at least very minimal. Thomas Derbyshire
April 17, 20215 yr Author Thanks everyone, going to try both suggestions! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

I was in Greenland last night in the middle of nowhere and I turned MP on to see if anyone was about. There wasn't but my frames still tanked.
April 17, 20215 yr Author OK, multiplayer was off. I deleted manual cache, disabled it then re-enabled it, set AI to Offline and enabled VSync @60FPS again. For some reason I used to run that and it was reset. Went to Sheboygan Wisconsin (You said middle of nowhere LOL) and sim was smooth as butter. Back to GVL and it seemed to be back to normal. For me at least that seemed to resolve the FPS tanking. No more 1-2 FPS and slideshow for now! Thanks everyone, appreciate the help, back to F1 quali now! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

No stutter. What I have turned off is ai traffic. I was flying around for about 2 hrs last night with about 5 other guys and charlotte and had no issues. For a rig like the op has, getting 1-2fps its obvious something else is wrong. His render scaling is probably all the way up. Thats the only other way I know that will cause a slide show

I'm toggling VSync and don't see much difference there. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

I had to close my eyes and Alt-F4 out of the sim. Hence it was literally a painful experience. I grew up with a mother who was an English teacher from Yorkshire and was a Professional and Technical writing major. I knew what I was typing and the meaning of the word I chose. Appreciate the educational advice though 🙂 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
