April 17, 20215 yr Ever since the latest update I can no longer import flight plans from Navigraph. Simbrief plans go right in - Navigraph, nada. My normal procedure is to create the initial FP in Simbrief, import into Navigraph, refine it, export the final Navigraph version and load. Now, when I select the Navigraph file it just blinks and goes to the world view with no plan. Am I the only one experiencing this? Randall Rocke

April 17, 20215 yr Author I want to use the latest approaches, stars, etc. which are available in Navigraph but not Simbrief. Using both always makes for a nice team, However, I may have discovered the culprit - it appears that the latest navdata didn't install properly. It could be that some of the data was missing so MSFS dumped the plan. Before I blame the patch I'll need to set up another test later today. Randall Rocke

April 17, 20215 yr Author That's the whole point - the AIRAC database didn't update properly and the import failed. I ran the update again and it worked this time (I didn't realize it had failed before my other flights). Now, everything is working fine, so it was indeed an issue with the navdata. Randall Rocke
April 18, 20215 yr I just started using Simbrief and I cannot find the way to add a specific approach, like ILS. Only thing I can see to do is manually add the steps into the route. Am I missing a way to do it more easily? April 18, 20215 yr Author Yes, with Navigraph. It allows you to preselect the approach you want to use and incorporates it into the flight plan. You can also change/add/remove/adjust the STAR if you wish. Simbrief is a marvelous tool - Navigraph adds even more functionality. Randall Rocke
