April 19, 20215 yr I know this topic has been here for a while, and it seems after the last update any items showing as not installed have been working, but moving forward I see any new items added after this update will load and not get into the sim. Any solutions or are we waiting for a hotfix?

Any solutions or are we waiting for a hotfix? As far as I can see, it's only scenery in the community folder that is marked as "not installed". I think we can simply ignore this and copy all addons into the community folder as always. They get loaded just fine.
April 19, 20215 yr Author I just added new sceneries today and put into the community folder, they show up in the content manager as not installed and sure enough they didnt load into the sim. All the existing files that show not installed ARE in the sim, but no joy on any thing after the latest break the sim update.. Lets take a vacation from up dates let us catch our breath ASOBO!!

They didn't load? Are you sure? That is quite strange. All sceneries and addons I put in the folder in the last few days worked. I just tried another airport I downloaded a few minutes ago and it worked just fine - showed up in the content manager as "not installed", though. Afterwards I deleted it from the community folder and it was gone. Just as expected. Sorry, I know that might not help you, but you should check again.

The new thing about "not installed" is yet another bug introduced by Asobo in the last WU, that has no effect whatsoever in the scenery loading process in the sim. They show as 'not installed', which is a bug, but if you place them in the Community folder correctly, they are definitely available in the sim. Some people drag the wrong root folder into the community folder from the zip. I believe the Folder to be dragged into the Community folder must contain the .json files or they won't work in the sim, so if the .json files are in the next folder level down in the add-ons directory structure, they add-on simply won't work. I dragged all my stuff back into the Community folder and everything is working fine, even though it says 'not installed' in the content manager. April 19, 20215 yr Author all these files have the .json in them. Cant figure this out they just dont replace the old default airports that I want out.
