Su 4 Beta
Now I tried EDDF rwy 07C for a little round trip with the Inibuild A 320. So I had terminal 1 and the Frankfurt skyline in full sight while approaching. To my surprise I had no stutters at all and constant 60 fps (with 2x FG). I do not understand why I couldn't find a free gate with parked aircraft at "low", though. 🙂

Su 4 Beta
I tried my usual test flight with the Fenix A 320 from EDDC to EDDC, rwy 22. Before I had severe stutters always right after takeoff and again when approaching minimus and on roll-out. Those stutters are gone. At least for my first little flight.

Fenix bfu available
Just on a side note, regarding flying the A320 in SU 3 Beta: Until now I always had the impression that up and down drafts in rain clouds only really affect small planes like the 172. But today I was silly enough to try to approach EDDP 26R in really terrible weather. I captured GS at 3000 ft but catched a hefty up-draft which resulted in an overspeed warning. I stupidly continued just for the heck of it and got several windshear warnings just before touchdown. Very impressive. I will never do that again!

Sim Update 3 Beta 1.5.7.0 / June 13
I think we should call this Nocebo, because it's a negative expectation.

What about time acceleration? Does it work properly now?

No more live weather thunderstorms?
Reports? I just looked up an area with light thunderstorms in Europe on an online weather map. Nearest airfield was LKCO. I jumped into the C172 and took off. Lightning and thunder, rain and very bumpy air. It was fun. So I have no clue who reports stuff like that but at least at this more or less random location I had lots of turbulence etc. in live weather in SU 3 Beta.

Update v1.0.12 for iniBuilds A350 available
Very annoying. The autosave function works well, though.

I am struggling to see the need to transition to 2024....
Be flexible. 😉 To save a flight with the recorder is as easy as with the 2020 save function.

There is this replay tool that saves replays. Just record and save a few seconds. You can load it later, press "Take Control" and there you are.

PMDG 777-200ER Released
Reverse thrust cannot be strong enough to lock your seat belts. I bet you had auto-brakes activated.

2020 Simmers Fight Back
Well, he opened this thread and he stated some crazy stuff about flags on the moon. He very obviously disqualified himself for any discussion. This is not picking on him for some disagreement. Honestly, the idea that one could "disagree" on basic facts like the moon landing is ridiculous.

Cool feature in 2024
It's not really documented, though. Most people somehow are a bit shy about clicking with every available mouse button everywhere to find those hidden (or not so much hidden, depending on perspective) possibilities. I am very often super surprised when I have to explain software to people: they just don't click everywhere or just don't expect that this clicking would discover something important. So this video has it's uses.

Frame limit in user.cfg + frame gen
Limiting fps to a fraction of the monitor frequency (and applying FG, if possible) always was the way to achieve smooth frame times. The new setting in the config file might make this easier. I am going to try.

Navigraph survey results
Well, there is no surprise in that: Navigraph users mostly fly airliners. So all the data applies to virtual airliner pilots and not very much to GA pilots.

30% of MSFS users only (mostly?) fly ONE aircraft...?
Mostly Airbus, 330 and Fenix, but quite often I find myself flying the PC-12 or PC-24 because I like the Honeywell avionics. The Vision Jet is nice too. And I like to fly the 172 and the Milviz Spitfire. Sometimes I fly Helis but I am not able to land on anything smaller than a soccer field.

FS24 isn't doing well on Steam. Neither is FS20.
Maybe I exaggerated a little for dramatic effect. But I don't think the cliffs at Newquay look very impressive in 2020.

Obviously the terrain and ground textures don't look very good in XP without adding some addons. The lighting is quite convincing in the new beta, though. Today I flew in the area of Newquay (Cornwall) in MSFS24. The coast looks absolutely stunning. Neither MSFS20 nor XP are very realistic there.

Glad to hear that XP12 is quite good now. I had 10 and 11 and never really liked the terrible(!) user interface. But if for some reason MSFS vanishes, I know where to go.
