Fenix bfu available

If someone already posed this, please forgive me. I searched the forum and didn't see a thread yet.

ECAM will be 100% Fenix. No Prosim.

"We're looking at launching later this year. We're building the A320neo, and the A321neo. The LEAPs and the GTFs will both be fully represented in XEM. And, finally, we are putting all this in one package. This is a standalone product. No prior ownership necessary."

Big updates for the Ceos as well. MSFS2024 compatibility. WXR is coming. Full walk around mode is supported with external panels that open and systems to "play with". And if I am reading it correctly, their new ECAM will also be ported to the Ceos, so I guess no more Prosim anywhere?

"Lastly, for customers that do opt to own both our CEO and NEO product, as a cherry on top, you will then have a surprise third airplane: a modernised CEO - based upon the significant work put into building up our NEO, it’ll be running the latest version ECAM, displays, what-have-you, on your CEO, for all you autobrake OFF enthusiasts (I get asked about this 8 times a day minimum). This is a small thank you to those who continue to support the work we do, and gives you a tonne of choice with what you would like to fly and which era of A320 you'd like to fly. "

This is great news! I wanted the Neos but I wasn't going to get it from the other guys.

Didn't notice that search results sort order defaulted to "relevancy" instead of date. I missed the earlier thread reading the irrelevant thread titles that were boosted to the top because Avsim thought that they were more relevant.

Oops. Thought it was strange no one mentioned it. 🙃

It's been a month since the Fenix announcement (March 28), but we haven't had any news about the big update. They said it would be out in a couple of weeks. I hope it is released soon.

To keep everyone in the loop on BFU: as always we're working towards feature/quality goals rather than deadlines, and have struggled with a couple*  of non-deferrable items that we rightly anticipated being easy to achieve but some aspects are unfortunately out of our control (for now). Not going to go into further details as it's not relevant, but adjust your watches to "Fenix Time" because we're not going to push something half-baked (nor should you want or accept that). No new timeline guidance except we weren't too bothered about how much it protracts our internal estimated timelines by.

Just for the sake of us who missed the earlier discussion, will this update involve the implementation of native 2024 capability for the original A320 with full official support, etc.?

Thanks.

A couple of weeks?   Don’t recall Fenix giving any dates or timings. They promised a date once in four years and when that slipped they caught holy heck for days, hence “Fenix Time” is “When Ready” no more no less.  Now of course if you can source a date given by Fenix I will stand corrected and acknowledge my error.

This is what they said:

Upcoming Big Fenix Update: What's Included?

Now, let's look a little closer. In the next couple of weeks, we will finally push a BFU (Big Fenix Update) - not every update is a BFU, but this one certainly is. In this update, we bring you the promised child, Baby Shark (the A319 Sharkies) - not just as a flight model, but of course we've had a bit of fun with this one and equipped the CFM variant as American Airlines have equipped theirs - with a bespoke B7 hotrod motor, bringing big power to you via XEM. This one is quite a handful and will quite comfortably get ahead of you. Of course, the IAEs are present too, configured as a V2524. This brings us to a total of 7 bespoke XEM engine models across the A32X CEO range so far.

I seriously don't think that Fenix would drop something now and step toes on other top tier developers like (PMDG) trying to prove something. Give them some time and they will say or release something after the 7772ER hype wears off.

Patience folks.

Well Luis you are correct and I was incorrect. Thank for educating me LoL. Blue skies

Hi all

I think Fenix will wait until MSFS2024 SU2 is officially out.
Then they will test the "Big Fenix Update" internally once more to give us a solid product.
I hope this will happen in a month time.
