  • Fenix.... never change.   Months of silence, then a video that speaks of a release on Tues- or Wednesday and then release one day earlier on a Monday.   That's how it's done. 👏

  • Winwing have updated Simapppro, FCU and MCDU now working.

New to Fenix as of yesterday went w/ 320 to use in 2024.  I stopped using GSX a while back but the default tug now in my first 2 tries w/ the plane does not push the plane back it just gets stuck and I have to end the flight.  Parking brake is off, chocks removed, doors closed.  Am I doing something wrong or is it a known issue?  Can't be by now but dunno...

I have noted issues with 2020 pushback programs being used in 2024, but never used default… not sure… sorry!

try pushing arrow (down/aft) after selecting pushback START selection, it might work.

Sorry I'm not near the info, but it has something to do with needing to assign the brake axis in Fenix. There's a bunch of threads at the Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums about it. You might have to a search and do a bit of reading.

The Fenix pushback function is a tad buggy in 2024, but there are simple workarounds that should get you away from the gate and ready to taxi.  I assume you already have a button on your flight stick or other controller to the Fenix parking brake. When you first press the Start pushback button on the Fenix Ground Services page of the EFB, the tug may align with the nose wheel but not actually commence the reverse function. If so, wait til the tug has engaged the nose wheel as far as it will, then toggle the parking brake on briefly then off.  The reverse function should then commence.
The other little bug here is that the pushback in 2024 will typically begin with a turn you did not select. The trick is to quickly press the pushback turn button (below the Start button) for the opposite direction then quickly press the straight back button to take control of the pushback. From that point you can steer the reverse function as needed.  Stop pushback when you have reached your desired position, and if necessary, press the disconnect tug button if the tug should remain in place.

Hope this helps you get underway.

Turns out it was well more complicated than this.  I could also not start the CJR700 which I had been flying the last week in 2024. Turns out all sorts of stuff was hosed I don't know whether it was the lock ups that happen in 2020 now when you try to close it down or what because here I could not even use TM, had to shut the PC down with power button.  Next, I could no longer read emails in my.yahoo.com--the headers would be there but no could read anything in the emails. I thought perhaps a drive failure was happening but ran SMART evaluation which showed the 2TB NVMe was okay, but chkdsk /f did a slew of repairs and in the end report had no 'bad sectors' FWIW.  Long and short-turned into a massive spring cleaning!  I had diligently made a clone a month ago on to my portable SSD only to learn no can boot from it, so was not able to clone that back to my C drive.  Total reinstall of everything!  2024 was a piece of cake to reinstall it sort was already there on a brand new install of Win11 23H2, and 2020 the same just much longer of course, both thru the Store.  I really wish I would have bought a mobo with m.2 slots one could disable in the BIOS this is the easy way to do clone backups.  Right now since one hides under the 4090 it's a small pain to clone to a 2nd 2TB NVMe drive, but doable and far quicker than this reinstall will be with all of the various accoutrements to flight simming like LNM, BATC, navigraph stuff etc.  So...will try again to install Fenix a320 shortly.  The learning curve is modest at best--mainly its EFB, as the rest is so similar to FBW 320nx.  Looking forward to it in 2024!

Nothing. They're hard at work. No doubt someone will say on here when news is released.

If there's something to report, you will be sure it will show up on AVSIM within a minute.

So no need to ask for it.

With Fenix - Can one buy the 319 by itself? Thanks.

That isn't possible at the moment - Not sure if it will change but its sold as an expansion and has the A321 as well.

Haven't seen Amir active on Discord, and there is no word about the BFU I can find- is there any news? The prior timeline was 2 weeks from what I understood, and it's been much longer.... not impatient, just eager...
