Stability & Performance

• Fixed the Controls menu to cache data and prevent unnecessary file loads when navigating, only loading input profiles when entering the menu tab, switching aircraft, or creating, duplicating, or renaming a profile.
• Fixed several old and rare crashes in the stall warning simulation system.
• Fixed a crash occuring in the model behavior parser when cancelling a request (rapidly clicking tiles in the aircraft selector)

  General Bug Fixes

• Fixed font rendered as square during mission onboarding
• Fixed simrate with time
• Added precisions for time and offsets
• Added new offset to get flight time without simrate modifications
• Fixed adaptive liveries does not adapt to Japanese language when it should
• Fixed time doesn’t works with sim rate
• Fixed the profile page that was not appearing during flight if opened with the keyboard or the gamepad
• Reduced the opacity of the glass dust layer.
• Fixed an issue where some options lines could have wrong visuals after being clicked
• Fixed an issue where choosing a departure in free flight would not zoom on the world map
• Fixed VR cockpit camera position resetting when leaving pause
• Fixed look around mouse feature to allow player to keep aircraft inputs while moving the camera
• Allowed the player to lock their input presets
• Changed new plane flares on interior lights to be disabled by default.
• Fixed potential crash when ATC attempts to look for appropriate STAR to assign for clearance

The configure livery screen is still a mess

Looks like this fixed the sim rate not affecting time - that’s a big one for me personally. 

Also here’s hoping those WASM fixes reduce crashes, does look like they might by the sound of things.

To be honest, the whole GUI is a mess. Controls profiles management still causing numerous CTDs. Not addressed ....

This time steam does not automatically update nor did the SU16 update weeks ago.

Solved:
Right click on the game's name in the list in your Steam library, select properties, select UPDATES, click under AUTOMATIC UPDATES and change it to High Priority.

Mouse look bug finally fixed 😭

Please note due to some last minute delays with our publishing pipeline, it may still be several hours before the update shows up. We are working to resolve the issues with the publishing pipeline now, but are posting these release notes in advance as it’s unclear precisely when the update will become available.

I remember when the first screenshots/vids came out people named the new GUI an upgrade ….More modern compared to the old one.

I am used to it now but the 2020 GUI is easier in use.

Luckily I do not experience issues with the Control Profiles, but might be because I only use the Rudder Assignment.

The most important part that reminds me this is a Beta:

I think my problem goes back to the time that whenever I wanted to make a tiny assignment change, MSFS wouldn't save it unless I created a NEW profile - even though I was editing a custom profile saved earlier. The result was that I now have many totally useless/redundant profiles that I can't get rid of. Worse still - with the recently introduced delay in selecting different profiles, stepping through all of them to [finally] arrive at the correct one takes *ages*.

I have throttle, stick and rudders - and fly with many different types of aircraft (airliners, props, warbirds - single to 4-engines) - so I really do need to have aircraft-specific profiles.

I wonder if this statement refers to the existing "degradation in performance" some of us are already experiencing now or the new beta will cause even more severe degradation.

If you're in SU3, after this update, go post in the thread on poor performance at the airport for SU3 to give Asobo feedback on the problem, to help them fix it.
