Sim Update 3 Beta 1.5.7.0 / June 13

Featured Replies

might be server issues right now, as I'm getting an error in SU2 trying to take photos in photomode

The beta update isn't out either way so there's no point trying.

Well, it's looking to update..............so it must be.

Downloading now.  Says 1.4 GB.

Got to 1.1 GB in seconds, then slows to an absolute crawl at 1.5 mbs .

EDIT:  Just finished and loaded.  Definitely 1.5.7.0.

Now to start testing.  Hopefully, now I can delete some double control assignments that are driving me crazy.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Not on Steam yet

Double check the Window bar, make sure it says 1.5.7.0

In the Fenix I can't open the Asobo EFB but that's OK because it's terrible. Apart from that it's smooth as silk. Haven't seen any FSLTL planes yet so I hope that's not broken. EDIT I think I'm seeing a major performance increase? 2nd EDIT Clouds don't look so good. Have they dumbed them down? Ground textures look crisper. This is a quantum leap potentially.

Excellent, so many people are suffering this since SU2 beta, but still not fixed...... But at least the opacity of the dust layer on glass is fixed.

I can't reconcile whats going on in the developers heads, that they fix the minutiae and dont address the show stoppers like performance.

Also having to disable default streamed airports every session if you have an add on replacement for said airfield, in SU3 beta, at least.

I'm proper tired of this nonense.

I know it's a beta, but even if I go back to SU2, the terrible performance at larger airports is a regressive issue, it wasn't an issue at release or in SU1.

We're seven months on from release at this point!

Even in this very thread, on the first page, there are multiple posts that explain the MSFS team added code to capture telemetry, to pinpoint and try to fix the stuttering at airports, and the code they added to capture the telemetry will make the performance worse!

Here is the first post I see on the first page, that talks about this:

And then I repeated the information in my post, also on the first page:

I get it that you didn't bother to read the SU3 beta notes. But you didn't even bother to read the initial posts in this thread either!

Very Likely.

Just made a quick flight with 1.5.7 in marginal VFR in Los Angeles bassin, from KAJO to KSNA and got some stutters with sound cracks when joining the pattern at KSNA. It was smooth on my KAJO Corona scenery. Whereas it was super smooth with the previous Beta.

As expected 😉

Check my free MSFS sceneries : https://flightsim.to/profile/vbazillio/trending and my hardware configuration.

I can not popout panels / screens in the Ifly Max

guys, try it first on a vanilla install, empty community folder, no exe.xml, clean your cache, etc... then start adding stuff one by one...

I just had a kdfw (handcrafted) to KIAH in the longitude and didn't have a single issue.

I will try this on the Vision Jet and will come back
