May 1, 20215 yr Had a flight earlier, in the PA28, from Oxford to Southend. At least that was the plan. In reality, I was unable to complete it as performance got so bad. As I approached London the sim started doing the micro-pause thing. Then it steadily got worse until it was pausing about every half a second. The thing is, I was probably a good 15 miles away from London, so it’s not like I could pin the blame on photogrammetry or anything. These pauses weren’t the usual jitters, but a proper stopping of the scenery. It felt like I should be repeatedly banging my nose on the windscreen as it jolted to a halt. I haven’t made any changes to the settings, I don’t try to push crazy-high settings either. And with a 3090, and a 5950x I’m about as high-specced as I can be. Full spec in my signature. Is this just the way of things or is there a fix? 5950X, RTX3090, 32GB@3600, Samsung Evo NVME 1TB, Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswinds, Reverb G2.

May 1, 20215 yr When did this update appear? I've not been prompted to do an update for at least a week it seems. Nevermind, I think I'm set up to not hear about them until well after they arrive. May 1, 20215 yr Author Cure or coincidence? Not sure, but I just re-enacted the problem flight, after applying the update, and it ran as smooth as butter, right down to landing at Southend. Hopefully, it’s a cure until the next update screws everything up again. Anyway, much obliged to you both 🙂 Edited May 1, 20215 yr by Bilbosmeggins Omission 5950X, RTX3090, 32GB@3600, Samsung Evo NVME 1TB, Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswinds, Reverb G2.

May 1, 20215 yr I got that update back at the end of February, so if you keep your PC up to date, you probably already have it.
