VFR Map stuck.

Featured Replies

I rarely use VFR Map, but when I opened it tonight I noticed that I could not move it around, I could only resize it, is this any known bug that has come with any of the latest patches because I have been able to move it around on the screen before?

Just used it, worked fine. Maybe it was a "one-off" since you rarely use it.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

This happens to me frequently and then also decides to start working again for no apparent reason. I have no idea what causes it or fixes it but I'm with you OP.

The strange thing is that the VFR map open by itself when I close the popup screen that appears when turning off the engine, then I could move it again, but when I restart the game it is locked again.

Are you sure the game itself didn't just "freeze pause" when you had the map open, it happens. As far as VFR map opening, there is a setting in the options that controls the automatic map opening.

No nothing like that, the game works normal and I have automatic map turned off.

This is common for me since a while back. It cant be moved, only resized. The other windows work fine. It seems to be random, sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I get loads of things like this all of the time.

Even from a completely fresh reboot, MSFS can behave differently each time, and that is after I have let Windows settle and I have checked that any updates / background downloads / steam updates etc., have been completed.  Someone told me it is down to the file MSFSRandomGlitch.dll, but I can't find it.  It must be a big file though!  😕

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

It seems that it was WT 3000 mod that caused the problem, now it works again after the latest version.

[VFR Map] Fixed a bug preventing the VFR Map from being moved when it was not detached to a separate window.
