May 26, 20215 yr I've run into an issue with Navigraph flight plan importation. I normally create my initial plan with SimBrief, then import it into Navigraph for final editing and choosing of SIDs, IAPs, etc. Trying out the C208b to see how the update adjustments have affected it, I followed my normal procedures and did a test flight, using the PS GTN750 mod. Half way through the flight the flight path disappeared entirely from the Nav window of the MFD. I could still see it in the VFR window, but the AP wasn't following the plan. Checking the approach in the GTN750, I found the entire approach procedure was missing from the flight plan. I then attempted to insert it manually, which is usually and easy thing to do but it would not function. I attempted a Direct To, also normally an easy procedure, and that didn't function either, I ended up using NDB navigation, then vectored myself to the localizer. Thinking that the issue may have been with the mod, I created a new flight plan in the normal fashion and tried the following combinations: Once again with the GTN750 Once with the WT g1000 mod Removed all mods In all cases, the flight plan was unusable - they actually started the flight plan in the middle of the route (bypassing the first waypoints) and also did not include the proper instrument approach procedure at the end. Out of curiosity, I reloaded the plan with the original file from SimBrief and restarted the flight. Bingo - the entire flight plan now appeared and all waypoints were included. I was able to add the approach procedure from the sim's flight planner and also with the GTN750 with no issue. I'm guessing that Navigraph will resolve this quickly, but for now, it's messed up. Quick Edit: I'm still using my Navigraph Data & Charts - it's just the flight plans that appear to not be compatible right now. Edited May 26, 20215 yr by RandallR Randall Rocke
May 26, 20215 yr I wonder if you had a USR waypoint after you imported the plan ? https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
May 26, 20215 yr Author Could be, but with a number of the waypoints not even being listed in the plan and nothing showing on the display, I'm not sure. I'm too tired to fly now that I've successfully imported what appears to be a complete, compatible plan (with no USR points that I can see) - I'll give her a test tomorrow. Randall Rocke
May 26, 20215 yr Author Used the GTN750 w/unmodded C208B and the SimBrief FP loaded properly. After I passed the last enroute waypoint the AP went for the airport instead of the approach IAF, but as soon as I activated the approach she turned for the IAF. Performance-wise the C208 seems to be improved, though its ground handling still isn't good. I'll need to see if the C208b improvement mod has been updated, especially considering the prop feathers now. Randall Rocke

I had issues today and checked Navigraph - there is a new version [V3] for cycle 2105 - replaced it and issues gone. Maybe that is your problem too ? May 26, 20215 yr Author I had already updated to cycle 2105 prior to the first issues after the update. What just caught my eye is your Rev. 3 note. I just rechecked and I was cycle 2105, Rev. 1. Interesting - there were already 2 revisions and I hadn't received a notice? Anyway, I just updated to Rev. 3 - I'll see if the FP will import properly now. Randall Rocke
May 26, 20215 yr I was having issues with Rev.1 and updated to Rev.3 also. I am 30 minutes into a flight now and seems to be back to following the FP like it should. Using the EMB110 with the GTN750 and all is well now. [update] I am now getting some drift off the magenta line and am having to use HDG mode to continue the flight. I had really hoped that this last update would cure the drift. ☹️ Edited May 26, 20215 yr by Mikeingreen Ryzen 7 5800 x3D, Asus Tuf Gaming X570 Plus, Geforce GTX 4080 F.E., 32GB Corsair PC-3600, 1TB Samsung Evo 970 nVME SSD, 1TB Samsung Evo 870 SSD, 500GB Samsung Evo 870 SSD
May 26, 20215 yr Author Drift off of the flight path is something I've never experienced. The VFR map sometimes shows a slight gap but the magenta has always been locked in. Now, after passing the last enroute WP I've had the AP turn for the airport instead of the IAF/IF of the approach, but as soon as I activate the approach on the GTN750 she quickly locks back in to the proper path (may be a GTN750 thing). I'll need to make a couple of flights with the g1000 to see if it behaves in the same manner. Randall Rocke
May 27, 20215 yr Author Well, you nailed it - updated the AIRAC to revision 3 and all is well again with the Navigraph FP importing properly. Randall Rocke
