May 30, 20215 yr So my p3d v5 is still crashing a lot and is unstable. Im trying to track down the reason for it, and I understand I can use the windows event viewer for this purpose. However, It is not apparant to me how to use it. IE my p3d just crashed, but I cant see anywhere in the eventviewer something related to p3d. I cant see any updated program crash for the current time either. Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
May 30, 20215 yr It should appear under Windows Logs > Application. If you can't find them, try clicking on the "Level" heading which would then show the errors on top.
May 30, 20215 yr I scroll down in the top pane looking for the entries in red...usually if there's been a recent crash, there'll be something near the top of the list. June 3, 20215 yr In Event Viewer open Windows Logs then applications, then see what the error message, if it`s an addon you may see Net framework error this could be a corrupt runtime, try going into settings/Apps then find C++ 2015-2019 then click Modify then Repair with Both/ then reboot and test P3D. If this helps it`s likely an addon at fault. Raymond Fry.
June 3, 20215 yr I know this will not be very fun to hear, but from my experience, 99% of crashes were because of hardware not being able to handle the sim specs. I recommend downloading hwinfo64 and checking CPU temperatures. I would also check overclock settings, as they can also be the root cause.
