June 12, 20214 yr I need to buy some new pedals and decided to get Logitech G Pro ones. I realise that Logitech took over Saitek (as far as pedals are concerned at least) about five years ago. Why then do I get offered Saitek PZ35 pedals - brand new. Surely anything made that long ago hit the market long before now. These are from a major retailer in the UK at about £130. Is there a difference between PZ35 and G Pro? Can I assume they are synonymous? Can anyone clarify the situation please?
June 13, 20214 yr I can't sure for all products, but as what I had with both, 2 rudder pedal and 2 throttle quadrant respectively from saitek and logitech, they are fully interchangeable. When I switch from old saitek one to new logitech one, I didn't need to install new driver or to re assign them in game.
June 13, 20214 yr To the best of my knowledge, the PZ35 and G Pro are the same product. I believe the dome in the middle of the tension dial is a different colour but that seems to be all. I think it's unnecessarily confusing to use the word 'Pro' when renaming the product. Perhaps they hoped some people would 'upgrade' to the 'new' product?🤔 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)
June 13, 20214 yr Author Thanks 109Sqn, It is confusing certainly and I'm surprised more people haven't queried it. I'm going ahead with buying the PZ35 because the retailer confirms if I'm not happy when I get it I can send it back! Thanks for your reply and happy flying. Rog
June 18, 20214 yr Author I can wind this up by reporting that the pedals arrived (and work). The problem was caused by sloppy retailing as when the item arrived there was absolutely no mention of Saitek on the packaging or the product. They are Logitech.
June 24, 20214 yr I was under the impression that the Saitek name was used in some regions and the Logitech name in others but I guess it's more complicated than that. James
