June 15, 20214 yr I am thinking of buying Aerosoft CRJ, but I am not sure how it performs. I am currently flying WT CJ4 and FBW Airbus and am very happy with thier perfomance (fps and smoothness). Is CRJ comparable in performance to WT CJ4 or FBW, or does it have major negative impact on performance? Edited June 15, 20214 yr by JU108

June 15, 20214 yr For me, the CRJ eats a few more frames in the cockpit than the WT CJ4, but its not enough to impact the experience, its still very smooth. I don't pay attention to exact FPS, but if you fly both planes back to back you can notice it a bit. System: i7-10750H, GTX1660ti, 16gig ram.
June 15, 20214 yr The CRJ is about the best for not causing fps issues, and come to think of it, i don't see any stutters with it either. Where as is will get the occasional one with the A320NX, especially close to the likes of JFk, or Egll. June 15, 20214 yr The CRJ is much better FPS-wise than the FBW A320, which is mostly due to the different code language for the displays. FBW uses the default one, Aerosoft uses their own. The WJ CJ4 is similar in FPS, but then again it's a much simpler aircraft. I am not the biggest fan of Aerosoft, but their CRJ feels like the first complete airliner (at least on par with the P3D version) for MSFS and performs really well. I love the A320 and CJ4, but if you flew PMDG and FSLabs in P3D, they still feel really incomplete, which is perfectly fine, since they are technically still mods. The CRJ is the only aircraft that gives me a similar feeling to how it was in P3D, and it is actually the reason I mostly came back to MSFS after 7 months of P3D. Well that and the DC6 that is about to come out. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
