Carenado GTX

Featured Replies

I purchased the Carenado King Air GTX and each time I do a flight the batteries go dead. The generators are working as expected. If you shut down you cannot restart due to dead batteries.

Suggest you post in the Carenado support forum, here at Avsim.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

FSX has a flaw in its code in which there is too much battery drain when the engines are not  turning a generator or alternator, even if nothing is turned on.  The payware version of FSUIPC has a feature that extends battery life to a more realistic level.  Alternatively, you can switch to a default aircraft, then back to the Carenado just before you want to restart the engines, this will provide you with a charged battery.
