Aerosoft CRJ: possible to assign buttons for turning knobs

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Love the CRJ so far but I'm struggling to assign buttons to my thrustmaster warthog for turning the autopilot speed/altitude/heading knobs. I fly in vr only  and it's really  hard to turn the knobs with the mouse and look at the display to see what I'm actually doing .

Thanks for any thoughts. Looked around on aerosoft forum but couldn't find this problem.

Cheers

If there is no default command in MSFS, you could try FSUIPC 7 and see if they have that command ready to be assigned to a key/button. That's you only option.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Lorby axis and oh’s you need! There are scripts on flightsim.to for it or search on the Aerosoft forum

I got everything working on my Mcp Combo!

Is that the VRInsight MCP?
Thanks.

Spad.next is what I got for the CJ4 and it worked quite well. Tried AxisandOhs but that simply did not work at all for me. CRJ should ve supported too. Just note that the trial does not have the Beta and Alpha branches which are needed for it to work, but you can test the general functionality. I like that they have a discord with at least one very active user who likes to answer questions. 😁

I've got heading, speed, and v/s knobs (not mode select, but the knobs) assigned to buttons on my X52 through MSFS natively.  It's definitely possible.  I think it's under the autopilot controls.  I'll look them up when I get the chance and post a screenshot.

Yes, you can assign almost everything with the Lorby program.

I made a template for it, instructions here:

Sounds good, thanks.
Might be time to leave LINDA/FSUICP.
