VR headset recommendations

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have been thinking about getting a VR headset and I was wondering if my hardware will run P3D in VR.

My system consists of an intel i7 4790k with 32 mb of RAM and a Nvidia GTX 1080Ti.
Would it be possible to have a satisfying experience and if so which VR headset do you recommend.

Thanks.
Ed

Hi, I moved over to VR a few months ago and to be honest i have never looked back.

It has its quirks with each sim but I fly MSFS, XP11 and also P3D.

I started out with a Rift S to see if I would get on ok with the concept, I have now got a Reverb G2, as I really enjoy the experience, if I can avoid 3d panel flying now, I do.

Hey Steve thank you for the recommendation. I am also looking at the Valve index VR. With my hardware it will probably run better.

I don’t know enough about your CPU, I have an i7700k OC to 4.8 with a 2080ti if that helps but I know plenty of people with the 1080ti that have no problems at least as far as GPU’s go.

I can’t speak highly enough of my Gen 1 Reverb, I saw one advertised here the other day for $250 Aussie. I bought mine for $1000 Aussie an it’s still rocks. I’m sure the Gen 2would also be great.
