Still delayed I'm afraid.

1. I decided it was time to make software updates semi automatic so you don't need to login to your account and redownload again via there.

This isn't so much a problem if you bought from the FS2Crew website, but some people are buying from 3rd party websites, and they can sometimes be slow to update the main file on their server.

Some people couldn't figure out how to login to their accounts and re-download.

So this new system will be one less step for you, and hopefully a few less support tickets for me.

2. I hate to do it, but we have to toughen up the licensing system.  We make niche of the niche market stuff that caters to a very tiny group of aviation enthusiasts, and it's just too demoralizing to see a few bad apples buy the software with their own money, and they they share it on the pirate sites.

Why they do this, I don't know.  Maybe they think they are the "Robin Hoods" of the flightsim world, but those days are over.

It's not fair to honest customers, and it's not fair to us at FS2Crew when we're up to 3am trying to innovate.

Our new licensing system is pretty no nonsense.  No one will be sharing it this time round.


3. We finally -finally- got this working!  It took us hundreds of hours to figure out how to (this is not in any SDK and it's very complex to do), and it's really cool!  We like it!

You can now start and manage your FS2Crew for MSFS apps directly via the Toolbar.

Your next question is probably can you put whole FS2Crew program inside MSFS this way?

Answer is no.  MSFS is very restrictive on what you can run "inside" of it.   Multi threaded speech recognition will probably never be allowed to run "inside" MSFS.  I'm not sure why Asobo did it this way, but they did, and it just means we had to improvise and adapt.  And that we did.

 

You can see we've preloaded it with all the MSFS products will be supporting over the next 10 years!


4. Pushback Express will be updated at the same time we release FBW.

All the new features we're adding to FBW have to be added to PBE as well so they are harmonious.

Nice to see the command centre is pre setup for the other future products , really can’t wait. Hopefully not to long

Way it's going to work... and this only applies to our new MSFS products (our FSX/P3D products won't be getting this)

When you run the program, you get a notification that an update is available.  Click "YES" to continue.

It then re-downloads the main setup file again, and you re-install.

It basically saves you the hassle of having to go to the FS2Crew or 3rd party website and redownloading via there
