July 8, 20214 yr Hi all, Thanks for those who helped my USB connection issue. I'm now struggling to assign buttons using the Throttle Quadrant, specifically I'm having the following issues: - Assigning start switches to the CRANK / NORM / IGM switch - Assigning ENG fuel switches to the ENG ON/OFF switches - Getting the throttle axis to be at idle when thrust levers are closed (at the moment they're at about 30% when closed) Thanks Ben AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance 32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card
July 8, 20214 yr I program the button assignments in FSUIPC: The left engine run/stop switch generates a Btn 2 down (press) event when moved to the fwd/ON position, and Btn 2 Up (release) when moved to the aft/OFF position. The right engine switch does the same with Btn 3. The mode switch generates a Btn 4 down event when moved to the CRANK position, and a Btn 4 up event when moved from CRANK to NORM. When moved from NORM to IGN/START it generates a Btn 7 down event, and Btn 7 up event when moved from IGN/START to NORM. I use FSUIPC calibration to set the throttle range from the idle stop to full fwd, and the reverse range from reverse idle to full reverse, with a healthy dead zone between the two. It's possible that Lorby-SI's Axes and Ohs can do the same, but I am not conversant with that utility. July 9, 20214 yr While FSL (and AeroSoft buses I guess) can do it automaticlly or easily with it's menu, if you are using other aircrafts, I think you'll need registered version of FSUIPC or something similar, especially the idle position, as it's physically continuous axies from MAX REV to TOGA, the default P3D assgment just couldn't handle it. Some of my other games like IL2 and KSP also couldn't handle the reverser part, so I have to disable it by lock the reverser tab up and use the full range for full throttle.
