First test with WidevieW for MSFS 2020 + Prosim

Recommended Posts

The first test with 2x MSFS Premium de Luxe on 2 pc’s. This time done by hand but in the coming days I will modify the aircraft’s VC camera view so it will be correct at startup.

As you can see near the left front window bar the frontview is stretched (NVSURROUND) and has no fisheye correction at this moment. Asobo will solve this end 2021, beginning 2022.

BEAUTIFULL!

After spending all that money, time and effort now, you collect the rewards. OUTSTANDING.
Just wait for the new update and you goanna be pleasantly surprised.
A question (not critic) I noticed on a video inbound Barcelona starting time 0:42 speed 299 with full flaps and gear up no speed and gear warning and no flaps relief.  Is that something wrong with the flaps gauge or just a bug?
Can you send me a private message please, I'm interested in the setup for my 747 cockpit?

The servo of the flaps gauge has a it’s stopper pin broken. The needle has to be calibrated each time I started SIOC (software for OpenCockpits hardware). So I disconnected a gear.  When I have finished setting up Wideview I will exchange the servo.

Tomorrow I will sent you a pm .

First flight :

It is far from perfect as MSFS has no multimonitor support, but it looks quiet good…

Looks good, Gerard!  I hope to use WideView with three systems/monitors for my sim.  You have given me hope that it will work fine.

Best Regards,

Gerald

One caution :

If you have 2 - 3 displays and you are the pilot sitting in the left chair you will have to adjust the runway/centerline values of your FOV. That means the heading a little to the left and then correct the X axes.

But that causes the horizon to bank to the left when climbing and banking to the left when descending.

Then the horizon line between the view pc’s is not the same anymore.

A few months I wrote to Zendesk about that and got a reply from someone from Asobo that this was something they would look into later this year / beginning 2022.

There were points it looked real...   I can't wait for multimonitor support to set my 49 inch ultrawide up as triples to get the correct FOV as well.

The setup looked great with MSFS.

Have a Wonderful Day

Using a 49" for now but not great FPS/performance.

What FPS and performance metrics are you getting with this? Able to run full ultra etc. ?

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Thanks for the information, Gerard.  Hopefully, they will work on this.
