July 19, 20214 yr I wonder if user tools exist to resolve and fix overlapping scenery items in MSFS. Example: "Vancouver Bridges" replaces the bridges with handcrafted models.. very nice! "Vancouver City" comes along, it also includes the bridges, but Lions Gate bridge is incomplete, cut off at the north end. If I enable both packages, the bridge is completed, but at the expense of some overlapping items.. Ideally, I would like to remove/exclude the bridges from the City scenery, but I have no idea if that is possible without involving the original authors, who are not responding to my comments (at least at present..). Anyone know? Bert
July 20, 20214 yr The scenery in MSFS is loaded in alphabetical order. To make sure your intended scenery loads last (which is the same that saying it'll load "above" the remaining scenery), put a "zz" in front of the name of such scenery in your community folder and see if that helps. I think it will. July 20, 20214 yr I have succesfully removed a building that was placed on a runway in MSFS, but it was some time ago so I don't have a guide for you. The information can be found on Google though. There was a youtube video where someone showd how to replace a stadium in a British city with one from google maps from which I gleaned how to hide unwanted objects. That might work to remove part of an addon you don't want. The only additional thing you could check is to look for a .bgl file in your add-on folder that is named after the bridge you have trouble with and if you're lucky enough (because most of the time all objects are compiled in a single or a short set of .bgl files) you only have to rename it to xxxx.bgl.OFF. The other solution would be to recompile the scenery with a exclude polygon for your bridge, but this is almost impossible if you don't have access to the add-on project files. Maybe asking the developer... That is a good suggestion, but as you suspected, the objects in this case are in a "library" bgl. Edit: The author just responded, and is planning to provide an option to remove the bridges from the Vancouver City package.. 🙂 Edited July 21, 20214 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

July 22, 20214 yr Hi Bert Pleased to see you are getting a response from the author, I agree with your observations. I have found the large version of Vancouver is incompatible with the BC and VI meshes at flightsim.to - MSFS2020 crashes when it gets to the flight selection page. But if I replace the full version of Vancouver with the author's lite version, this start-up crash does not happen and Vancouver looks darn good (the scenery is quite incredible), just as good as the heavy version without doing a detailed analysis. Have you had this experience? I really want the two meshes installed since they add more detail to the mountains. Nigel Vancouver

Have you had this experience? Indeed, I fly with the lite version also. The hi-rez version is too demanding for my system.. The only casualty now, is the Vancouver Harbour Centre scenery which does not fit anymore.. Bert
