If they were combined, I'm sure that some votes would be duplicated, but we'd at least see just how much support there is for the idea. I've voted and posted, BTW. (5 minutes later) and now I am reconsidering whether this is a required feature after all. If your profiles are stored in the cloud, and if the sim allows you to store profiles for more than one controller device, the ability to restore it manually would appear to be redundant. Oh, well, I'll take my medicine - go on, point out what an word not allowed i am! Edited March 1, 20224 yr by John Glossop contrition
March 1, 20224 yr I noticed after opting out of SU 8 Beta and then upgrading to SU8 Final that most of my controller settings were kept, but not the control combinations for custom view ( cockpit or outside ) on each aircraft - the ones saved using CTRL-ALT-[1..0] and selected through ALT-[1-0]. This also happened in previous versions. Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
May 11, 20233 yr I just discovered this topic. I was having some possible corruption of PMDG FMC file settings, with failures occurring that I had never programmed. PMDG support recommended based on other's experience to delete my MSFS cloud settings. That presumably would delete all my controller settings as well. Has anyone successfully deleted their cloud settings and then recovered their controller settings? I suppose the way to do it would be to back up the wgs files, delete the cloud settings, and then replace the backed up wgs files and then start MSFS 2020 and hope that they synch back to the cloud? Like others it took me a very long time to program all my controllers, and it would be painful to have to reprogram them all. Agree it is disgraceful that Asobo has not addressed this issue with an in game way to backup and restore controller settings if the cloud information is lost. Cloud storage is far from perfect.
