July 31, 20214 yr I think it's Microsoft's fault for wanting to release this for the X-Box. I feel that there's more negatives than positives in their decision to do so. If X-Box was out of the question, then I'm sure SU5 would've been a much better update. There was already a lot on Asobo's plate, but then along came MS putting even more on their already full plate. Oh well, what's done is done. I just really hope that they can put back their focus on the PC version now. July 31, 20214 yr It is obvious that Asobo worked under strong pressure to meet the deadline Microsoft gave them for the Xbox version, they simply failed to meet the deadline. System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

For example, people were scared that Microsoft may pull the plug on the photogrammetry/satellite streaming one day. But with the X-Box release, it's less likely that Microsoft does that because now Microsoft risks upsetting the X-Box users too if they do that, not just the PC users. Microsoft/Asobo said this will be a 10 year project. Jorg had approached the executives at Microsoft to convince them of making MSFS, but the plan was always to include X-Box of course. Because of X-Box, it increases the chances that MSFS will be a 10 year project. I think Sim Update 5 is just a short term hiccup but the CTDs and the pop-in issues will be resolved in the next several months. I think in the long run, because X-Box provides extra revenue for Microsoft, Microsoft will continue to keep Asobo working on MSFS and because of this, X-Box will be a net benefit to us PC users over the next 10 years.
