Now that we have these crummy looking visuals, I find myself rather than looking out the cockpit window, more and more browsing the web while I am flying, because the scenery now looks terrible.  Same with the approaches, always looked good coming into a new airport, but now it all looks bad.

Bobsk8, you have a lot of company. But my own experience is very different -- after SU5 and the hotkey fix, I am seeing great scenery, at least as good as before, and with a major improvement in performance, pretty much 50-60 FPS everywhere with ultra settings even in places like NYC and London. How can this be, that some of us are having so much better results after the update than others? It is hard to understand, and I am no expert, but I am coming around to the view that it has a lot to do with the ability of one's computer to handle the increased demand on it following the update. Many people do not include their specs in their posts, so it's hard to be sure, but this is what I suspect may be at the core of the issue. I guess time will tell. Meanwhile I certainly sympathize with everybody who is having problems, and hope it all gets fixed soon.

It is pointless us all arguing about if the sim is in a worse state graphically or better, because it is just down to personal perception, and nobody is wrong in their own mind - certainly there is a lot of noise, and I am not too happy with some aspects.  But when the internet cant decide over the colour of a dress in a photo, you are always going to get these things.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Please read my post carefully. I am not arguing with anybody.

I know!  I was kind of agreeing with what you say and just commenting on the general thread - note I didn't quote you.    Sorry if it wasn't clear.
