Guys, this is crazy. I don't want to derail this, but this is definitely the twilight zone. I'm talking to the very people that are quoted. And the article in French that was sourced doesn't say anything about F-Tech. I mean, come on. Being stubborn is one thing, but this is another level.

It happens in politics too, so I don't know what to say at this point... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as I'm not the type of person to keep pushing against a  messenger, but i find it strange. The quote was at major sites as well.

I am not sure it really matters in the end, there are some minor visual issues Asobo is addressing as well as something with the settings holding (maybe). As I noted before, I always wanted them to make a slight adjustment to the lighting so that it didn't over-colorize anything from small and minor changes in time of day (which it always has done).

Some issues were there before, some are new.

If it's not FTech, then is it an in house engine ?

Yes, entirely. Some stuff has lineage from the Asobo open world racing sims, as you might expect.

The quote was even misconstrued to literally include even the words Turn 10 on some sites, and general financial info was even included in the quotes. It is very strange as most people would never have even heard of Turn 10 by itself back then, maybe if you played a lot of Forza.

The English articles all have a single source, which is the Madinfinite article. That article also has a single source, the LT article in French. The LT article in French doesn't reference Turn 10 or F-Tech. The two other quotes do appear (although not exactly in that order).

Not sure why you feel like this needs to be a point of contention, I was merely trying to correct some misinformation direct from the source, that's all.

I don't feel like there is any "contention", I was just explaining why I originally thought it was the way it was and why I was being "stubborn".

I have no proof either way, but as noted am giving you the benefit of the doubt. Other than maybe doing a hex dump, but I have no motives to do so, nor do I think the game is broken. The F-Tech engine was really good, so I had no problem with it, nor do I think they made any bad structural design decisions overall. Just some oversights I suppose.

If you can overlook morphing mountains, moving reflections (in VR), and objects popping in as you fly a few feet away from them.....sure...

The moving reflections aren't just in VR. It's one problem I have noticed. It definitely needs fixing, standard and VR.

I have a weird ghosting effect too that can happen with sudden fast movements of the camera, but I didn't mention it because it could be my projector setup got messed up from messing with so many settings with the patch. I didn't try to narrow it down yet and I do NOT know if it is on my end or not (so don't want to get anyone too uptight). I do think the reflections changed in some ways though irregardless of what part might be my setup.

How very noble of you. With no proof either way I mean...

We since moved on, but ok... Didn't say it was noble, it was purely intrinsic in the logic of why (like many others here) I thought it was that way. When i think of nobility, I think of some knight or fending off some criminal trying to steal an old lady's purse, not a post in a forum, not sure how that story even works if I were writing a story about "the nobility of posting in a forum".

Could be. I don't think I've seen ghosting. The reflections, I think, would look good now if they weren't dancing.

At the moment, I'm more concerned by the fact autopilot in the Cessna 172, and I think the CJ4 the previous night, wouldn't work properly. The flight director was all over the place. Climb set at a rate of 500, but the director was bouncing up and down to 2000, maybe higher. It wasn't following the GPS course. Then it started turning in a constant circle. Quit that flight, restarted at the same airport, then the AP worked correctly. But I digress.

EDIT: This is after uninstalling the Working Title Garmin add-on from the marketplace. I also noted -- to get back onto the topic of graphics -- the blurry text round the control panels had cleared up. Which could be a coincidence.

The high temp at altitude bug too, dev mode issues, and the missing weather data to add another. I was flying over Florida the other day and I had the opposite issue, a temp reading of -50c, though it could have been an issue with the specific plane or some addon. It's hard to remember every single config at any given point in time unless we were thinking about it rather than flying.

The problem is people in the forum are really uptight right now, so cannot really openly discuss issues as easily as in the past patches. I mean I know there are quite a few people with pitchforks just waiting for me to slipup at this point.
