I had the same after the SU5 update. In de Usercfg.opt i did set ColorGrading, Sharpen and FilmGrain to zero. Looks better.

When I did that, my clouds went horrible and I had to change from 0 back to 1 on all 3.

Once again, so many different results for different people.

Due to our different equipment, we all just have to find our own settings I suppose.  At least we have the option to do that.

One anomaly I found was that LOD doesn't always seem to work.  Flight Sim Blog say set terrain LOD at 500 (SU5 HF2) to get trees out to 15 km. (leave building LOD at 200)

It does work in general, and looks great with minimal performance hit, but even when flying low and slow, in some areas, I still see the trees appearing right in front of me.

It is difficult to recommend settings to anyone when MSFS is so inconsistent in different areas, because people will see different things based on the scenarios / areas they are flying in.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
