August 13, 20214 yr What setting controls pixalation in the graphics? It seems my sim has gotten really pixelated/grainy over the last couple days, I don’t think I made any major changes in the settings, but I’m noticing a lot more “grainy-ness” with trees and ground. it seemed ok when I first installed the hotfix #2 but not so much anymore. I had the same after the SU5 update. In de Usercfg.opt i did set ColorGrading, Sharpen and FilmGrain to zero. Looks better. Certainly sharpen and film grain set to 0 will help. I didn't find much difference with colorgrading after the patches though it did help considerably before su5 was patched. August 13, 20214 yr I little thing I found out the other day, thanks to SU5 and spending hours to try and get pre SU5 looks. After HF2 all is good again with looks. Now, I have sharpening ON. But Sharping OFF for me is horrable, some say turn it off and set it inNCP. Well I found and I am sure most do also. My monitor also has a sharping setting. I found by turning it down by only 4 from 62 to 58 made the world of diffrence. VC are still super sharp becasue MSFS sharping is still on, but trees etc have lost that pixelated look it taken that edge off. So simple and better as you can sit there and ajust to your own liking. Its also a realy fine ajustment. Enjoy! Edited August 13, 20214 yr by Nyxx David Murden. Thanks, Where do you access the monitor sharping setting, is this built into your monitor or is this controlled within msfs Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

August 13, 20214 yr I am annoyed by this "sparkle" of buildings and trees in the distance. If this has always been the case, you may not have noticed that, you were busy getting the simulator up and running. i7-10700k 5,1 GHz - 18 GB RAM - ASUS 1080Ti - Dell G-Sync Monitor

My samsung monitor also has a very agressive sharpening, so i lower it to 50 or so, set the sharpen to 0 in the cfg file and add a little bit of adaptativ sharpen in Nvidia, good results for me.
