That from a former USAF weatherman who back in the day voice recorded the then-equivalent, based on weather instrument measurements and good old human "eye appeal" ATIS reports! I would have been court marshalled if I had recorded what I get today in MSFS ATIS/AWOS. Pure fact! And that after four decades! Almost all USA ATIS/AWOS reports are available via phone recordings, just like what was in place those decades ago. So if you are using the beta REX WF or the other freeware MSFS weather engine, you may check real time ATIS for any USA airport for comparison. August 18, 20214 yr Author I thought so, ATIS reported winds clear. Then, 1 min later when landing ATC told me winds were 15knt.... Bit of a difference! Edited August 18, 20214 yr by Ianrivaldosmith
