MSFS Tail number

Recommended Posts

The tail number and a number of other settings have stopped saving after the SU5 fiasco. However the tail number situation is not as bad as the others. Even though the tail number is not showing up in the selection window, your last chosen tail number will appear when your flight is loaded.

At least that's the way it works on my system after SU5.

The problem is that once you've entered a tail number, you can't get rid of it. It keeps coming back - and the "Show tail number" toggle keeps reverting back to ON. It's so annoying!!!!

My ticket on this got closed and they said it was a bug, which hopefully gets fixed on 9/7, along with tens of other bugs.

Even when the fields show as empty, click into them and press the "Delete" key on your keyboard. It will actually delete the entries and the reg won't show up on the plane and will just use the on included with the repaint.

I really hope they fix this. It's a frustrating bug for sure.

Is it not possible to edit the tail number directly in the aircraft.cfg file?

It is, but the in-sim function over-rides it - regardless of the atc_id_enable setting.
