Paulo Ricardo's Rio De Janeiro scenery

Featured Replies

I bought Paulo Ricardo's Rio De Janeiro scenery for P3Dv5 and it take 10+ minutes to load the scenery! Is this normal or did I do something wrong? After I took a look at the scenery (which is very nice) I exited the sim and then loaded up FlyTampa's Las Vegas scenery and that load up in less than a minute.

Mine doesnt take that long to load. And its a staggeringly amazing piece of work to get such incredible performance out of so many thousands of buildings. All his work is stellar.

I went back to the Rio scenery and looked at the process bar when the scenery was loading. It was loading pretty good until it got to 64% (I think that was when autogen starts loading) that is when it slowed down to a crawl. I timed it and it took 16 minutes for the scenery to load. And I know it's not P3D itself because after I loaded Rio I exited the sim and went back and loaded Flightbeam's Wellington New Zealand scenery and that took about 40 seconds to load.

It's massive and does take some time to load, I've noticed. I think it is worth the wait. Don't know what else to say. but I have all his stuff.

I  emailed Paulo Ricard and he said I was missing a folder (PR_Libs). He sent it to me and now the scenery loads in just over a minute.

Interesting. I do have that folder and I'm still getting a long load time. I'm going to email Paulo and check this out. He's a great guy. He's why South America is my favorite place to fly.

He also sent me 2 replacement files Escola_Naval.bgl and SugarLoaf.bgl. So maybe those files alos help speed up my load time for this scenery.

Hi Joseph, what email is he using? I've sent him the request for the lib folder but he didn't reply. Thx

I used the email [email protected]

When I emailed him it took him a few days to reply to me.

He answered back today and sent me the Lib folder, it works as it should, great!

So, his working support email is:
