Loading Flight Plan

Featured Replies

Hey guys - I'm having frustrations loading a .pln flight plan created in LittleNavMap into MSFS2020. This usually works fine for me, but every once in a while when I try to use an approach MSFS does crazy things. I'm hoping someone can help explain. I've attached the .pln flight plan and two screenshots of the flight plan in LNM and MSFS.

Route in LittleNavMap:

Route that gets loaded in MSFS after loading above flight plan:

I use FS-FlightControl and notice that Flight Plans created in MSFS and saved are always a little different when loaded into FS-FlightControl. I do not think the save/load of MSFS World Map flight planner is 100% and even sometimes have differences when loading a saved plan back in on the world map itself.

It's so strange as it looks like MSFS even adds waypoints that aren't in the flight plan file. As you can see in the MSFS screenshot there is a waypoint named MISTE that does not exist in any shape or form in my .pln flight plan.

How/why is this getting added? Questions need answers 😛

Could it be that MISTE is part of your approach?

not according to littlenavmap. As you can I see I have approach ILS 21-Z selected with ENONU transition.

The approach is:
ENONU
CF21
FI21Z
RW21

It's not clear why MSFS is changing it up. But 1 more thing I also noticed is in MSFS it has an arrival selected even though the flight plan has no arrival it's simply vectored.

maybe MSFS is subsituting that vector as MISTE. I'm not entirely sure. MSFS is weird when it comes to loading flight plans from LNM. I get some weird stuff like that happened to me as well when loading a flight plan. You're not the only one. I believe it's an issue that Asobo needs to fix.

i concur. i'm usually pretty successful when doing on VFR routes. its when you bring in the more complex stuff that it can't handle it yet
