Issue With Flightplans

Featured Replies

Recently, I've had some odd stuff happen, and I'm wondering if I'm alone.  I choose my departure and arrival points, then choose to use high-altitude airways arriving on whichever runway I choose, and let the sim generate a plan.

When flying it, I can see on the display that there will be at least one or two wonky lines out of place.  My plane will try and follow those oddities in the plan.  A few days ago, flying into St Louis, the plane turned around and flew about 75 miles in the wrong direction before going back again.

Then last night, I was flying from across the continent to land at JFK.  The plan took me to over La Guardia, then would've shot me off into the middle of nowhere, but I turned off the AP and flew the last few miles manually.

Has anyone else seen these kind of oddities?

Best for you to advise us what aircraft and what if any mods you are using, if any.  The issue you mentioned, the one that I have quoted, has been around since MSFS was first introduced and has been largely corrected by 3rd party mods.

Unfortunately, your post provides close to 0 information. What plane, mods?, sids and stars? etc. Default avionics or WT stuff.

If you're talking about the "turn around bug" once you activate the approach past the iaf, that's still present.

Ah ok, it was all default stuff, no mods.  Coming into NYC it was in the 787, and I think the same in St Louis, though not quite sure.

I have seen things similar to that, but for me it seems to come from conflicts either between simbrief and the in-game flight planner are between the in-game flight planner and navigraph airacs.
