ATC Not available.

Featured Replies

Just started a flight and no ATC, no dialogue window, nothing. On the quick toolbar top of screen the button isn't there. If I go into options on the quick menu bar it's greyed out.
I've checked to make sure ATC is switched on in the main menu, all OK there. I've tried a PC restart, no joy. The only thing that's changed is an update for my BN-2 Islander.

Any help appreciated.

You've done the first step - PC restart.

Second step, remove everything from Community folder and try a flight. If ATC now working, then it is something in Community that is the issue. Since last thing updated was the BN-2, try putting everything BUT the BN-2 back and see what happens. If ATC still working, put the BN-2 back as well and see what happens. If ATC not working, there's your issue.

If ATC not working after removing everything from Community, issue is probably with MS somewhere.

Thanks for the reply Jim.

Unfortunately an empty community folder didn't help. Was wondering if I've inadvertently altered some settings although I can't think what. I've been through the menus to no avail. The only setting I can see that might turn it off is in the assistance options menu under piloting "AI Radio Communications (ATC)" .....it's switched on so it's not that.

How about on the custom toolbar on the in game menu at the top of the screen, is ATC turned on?

try this -

If your ATC button is disabled... go into settings and switch everything to Easy mode for assistance, that is, "All Assists". Reboot. Try a flight - reset to hard.

While doing as you suggested I thought I'd try hitting "Reset to default" on absolutely everything,.......it worked.

Thanks for sending me down the right path🙂👍

God knows what the offending setting was, whatever it was I don't remember altering it.

As I get older I enjoy the troubleshooting less.

Thanks all for your help.🙂
