MSFS is offline most of time

Featured Replies

I am still trying to get the simulator to fly (always freezes on launching a flight - for 3 weeks now) - and have noticed increasingly that it tells me to turn scenery off as bandwidth is too low - and I'm 78mb fibre optic.  Today I clicked on my log in top right of main menu and Online status is always offline and cant change server - both areas are greyed out.  Is this normal?

A second point to note is that even with the sim in the menu options only my GPU reached 72 degrees centigrade, with the fan on full pelt.  This seems odd to me - the sim then froze before I could even launch a flight.

All thoughts welcome.

The online servers have been flaky.. I often get messages that Azure Voice services are unavailable, or that my bandwidth is too low for PG.  Not exactly world class Cloud Service from Microsoft..

Thanks - I managed to get it to show online by ticking "multiplayer", signing in and out of account.

Sadly, as soon as I launched into flight...FREEZE!

Use a frame rate limiter (e.g. Nvidia Control Panel->Max Frame Rate)

My online status says offline and is greyed out but I still have photogrammetry and live weather.

If I turn on "Multiplayer" and "Live Traffic" the Online status changes to online.

A mystery.

I've concluded that when it says offline I am actually online.......been like this since su6

As stated above, this only turns on if you have Multiplayer set to ON.

General Options / Data / Online functionality  will tell you your status.
